We are thrilled to announce our participation in the international conference, “Writing and Cognition in Interdisciplinary Perspective,” which will be held from August 25 to 30, 2024, at the Monte Verità Auditorium in Ascona, Switzerland. This event, spearheaded by the esteemed Dr Annick Payne from the University of Bern and Venice, in collaboration with the prestigious Congressi Stefano Franscini/ETH Zürich, offers a unique platform for all of us to engage in a stimulating interdisciplinary dialogue on intriguing topics of writing and cognition.
On August 25 at 5:30 PM, Valeria Loddo, Artistic Director of the Fondazione Potenza Tamini, will deliver a keynote lecture titled “Elaborating New Codes,” focusing on the innovative use of symbolic language by Gianmaria Potenza. Drawing from semiotics, art history, and contemporary cultural theory, we will explore how Potenza’s symbolic language communicates with his audience and the methods of transmission he employs. This reflection also encompasses the temporal dimension in Potenza’s work within a broader discussion on visual communication and artistic expression.
